Meredith Caplin is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with special training in Gerontology. She received her Masters Degree in Social Work from UC Berkeley in 2004.
She has experience working in hospital settings and as a mental health counselor working specifically with the geriatric population. She is able to collaborate well with other healthcare professionals when necessary in order to ensure appropriate care.
When assisting families to decide on options available for their loved ones, she knows the resources and utilizes counseling skills in order to address the difficult feelings that often arise when an older adult is no longer safe without the assistance of others.
Her interest in older adults began with close relationships with her grandparents and she brings compassion to her work as well as a focus on her clients strengths and abilities.
